Product Description of Polyvinylpyrrolidone CAS#9003-39-8

Polyvinylpyrrolidone is a cross-linked vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer. It is a slightly odorous, hygroscopic white powder insoluble in water, ethanol and ether, with undetermined molecular weight.
It features excellent complexing capacity to bind pigment-causing substances in drinks and wine, and can be readily separated via filtration for convenient industrial use.


Product Application of Polyvinylpyrrolidone CAS#9003-39-8

Polyvinylpyrrolidone acts as adhesive, emulsifier and disintegrant in multiple fields. It is also used in biological reagents, NMR testing and dental care products.

It is widely added into daily cosmetics, printing inks and contact lens solutions. As food additive and wine clarifier, it is also applied as capping agent in silver nanowire synthesis.
